This is a very impressive design for the Astro 010 Mighty Micro

I had really planned to do a step by step review of this airplane, but I unpacked the kit and started fitting parts together and it was so much fun and so easy I was well into the construction before I even remembered to go get the camera. So there is just one 6 easy step photo that shows how it went together.
Wood was great and compared to the other two laser cut kits I have assembled the cutting was outstanding. It took about 5 hours to frame up & install all the hardware including servos etc.
The design is very sturdy/robust for a plane of this size and very light weight. You do not have to worry about breaking or loosening a joint while working on the next one and more importantly after completed this is not a fragile flyer. It handles like a big plane in handling, on the ground and in the air.
Because of its thinner airfoil it can move out and take up quite a bit of air space looking more like a .40-.60 size glo flyer, but with a little power management it slows down and works nicely in very small spaces including larger indoor sites.
With the recommended setup, while not 3D, it is basically unlimited vertical. All it takes is an eSKA kit, some lite weight covering, a Astro 010 3.3:1 Super Box and the APC 10X7 Slofy prop, and a 3 cell Kokam 1500mah Lithium Polymer battery pack. Depending on how much sanding you do and what covering you use it comes out between 10.5 & 12 oz.
Can you tell, I found a new 010 favorite airplane!!!!!!!
